Gas&Air Studios is one of the foremost sustainable furniture hire companies in the UK. Since 2010 we have been deigning and building eco friendly furniture for eco conscious interiors, events and installations all over the country.
As of January 2023 our services now include strecth tent & furniture hire, furniture design & build, bespoke builds and installations and full project and event consultation.

Tell us a little bit about the company and how it started? Gas&Air Studios was started back in 2010 in a small workshop space in Wimbledon, London. Our first designs were the folding Pallet Chair & Table, made 100% from disused pallets. We have since gone on to build our product range to include over 40 pieces, all designed to be made from reclaimed pallet timber and other eco-friendly materials. And have seen our furniture been used at hundreds of fantastic events across the country, including Big Feastival, Taste of London and Lattitude Festival.
Making furniture has always been our passion. But designing eco-friendly products has always been at the forefront of what we do and is always an important factor in moving the business forward! Going into 2023 our range of hire items now includes stretch tents, lighting, tables and seating, bars, DJ booths and photo backdrops, fire pits and bespoke signage.
Where are you based? Our furniture and stretch tent hire service is based just outside Norwich near Pulham Market, where we also have a workshop. We also have a small workshop in Dartford, near London.
What sort of geographical area do you cover? Our hire services covers the whole of the UK. We have supplied furniture to venues and events all across the country including Boardmasters Festival in Cornwall, the SEC in Glasgow and the Royal Albert Docks in Liverpool.
What is your biggest achievement so far? There are a number of events and projects that we are proud of! Next year will be our 5th year supplying the stands and furniture for the fantastic Whisky Live event at the Honourable Artillery Company in Central London. We have also recently become the main supplier of furniture for the beautiful Happy Place Festival at Chiswick House, London, and Tatton Park, Knutsford.
In 2021 we designed and built the furniture for Shelter Hall, the new food hall on the seafront in Brighton. We designed and built long benches and feasting tables, square & circular poseur tables and steel high bar tables for their stunning main hall area. After the success of these designs we were asked to design some unique tables for their secret cocktail bar. The reclaimed timber, glass, steel and brass tables were built in collaboration with the fantastic Noble & Wood.
What makes you different to your competitors? All our furniture is made from a mix of disused pallets and reclaimed timber, as well as other eco-friendly materials, including disused scaffold boards and oil drums. It is this eco-concious foundation that makes us stand out from our competitors and is what we believe brings our clients back to us each year.
Our furniture is also designed and handmade in-house by us, making our product range truly different from anything else available. The services we provide are perfect for any anyone wishing to hold a sustainable minded event.
What do you enjoy most about what you guys do? The process from deigning to making, to then seeing our furniture being used at various fantastic events and venues makes our job worth while and very enjoyable!
Can you give me some information on your new stretch tents? Since 2021 our hire service has included a selection of beautiful 15m x 10.5m stretch tents that are available to hire for weddings, parties, festivals and other events across Suffolk and Norfolk and further afield. Gas&Air Studios is now able to offer the complete event service including consultation, tent, furniture and lighting hire and delivery and set-up.
Each beautiful tent is handmade from ‘thread to finish’ using the the best materials. Their unique free-flowing design means each tent can accommodate up to 160 people seated and can be arranged in various ways in order to suit different seating requirements and party needs!
