In July 2023, in the view of beautiful lake, surrounded by oak trees and wild flowers, and under the beautiful blue Suffolk sky a crowd of happy guests descended on Hall Farm in Bury St Edmunds for the event of the year….a truly amazing outdoor festival wedding.
The stunning venue, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, was transformed into the setting of an extraordinary outdoor festival wedding. A once in a lifetime event that will live in the memory of everyone who attended!
The beautiful couple, who had to postpone 3 times due to the Covid pandemic, managed to express themselves through a free-flowing and easy going event. However every tiny detail was considered, from the celebrant outfit to the Suffolk themed back drop for the band.
At the centre of the outdoor festival wedding was one of our 15m x 21m stretch tents, decorated with colourful tassels and festoons.
Under the tent guests were seated on our 2m long wooden Flat Top Trestle Tables, subtly decorated with handpicked wild flowers and colourful handmade napkins.
The main centre piece of the whole outdoor wedding was the bar. The couple wanted to make sure everyone of their 160 guests had a fantastic time with easy, uninterrupted access to plenty of drink. For this one of our large Circular Bar was perfect! From the centre of the bar sprung a stunning May pole style display of colourful tassels, with thousands creating a stunning overhead display. The large 6m wide bar created a fantastic area of guests to congregate, chat, drink and have a good time.
Near the bar area was the dance floor, backed by a stack of wooden potato boxes, lit beautifully to create an atmospheric and unique backdrop for the evening revellers.
For the ceremony the couple chose to use our wooden Squared Benches, instead of wooden chairs. The use of benches created a relaxed, fun and inclusive atmosphere for the unique ceremony, triumphantly kicked off by the arrival of the bride on a Tuk-Tuk style buggy!
Scattered around the large festival site was a number of our other hire items, including our wooden Poseur Tables, Oil Drum Tables, Low Tables and Floor Cushions. To finish off the festival look, and to create a boundary for the day, was an array of colourful festival flags and festoons.
In the trees around the venue were ribbons and uplights. and around the lake were more festoons. These combined to create a stunning backdrop when the sun went down.
There is no doubt this wedding was a carefully, thoughtfully planned day. But the colourful decorations, outdoor rustic setting, free-flowing stretch tent and the handmade furniture created a care-free, fun and unique wedding. The festival theme was prefect for this fun loving couple who wanted to celebrate their big day in style!
