Sloping Pallet Timber Stool…the making of!

As a small company we try create beautiful handmade furniture by combining a contemporary, industrial style of design with reclaimed and rustic pallet timber and with out latest design we have attempted to achieve this. The Sloping Pallet Timber Stool is our boldest piece of furniture to date and is more experimental then anything we have designed before.

To reach the final product we carried out material tests and experiments, especially with the thickness of the steel we used. We also made scale models of the design so that we could get an idea of how the timber would sit on the steel to create the sloping seat. The welding was more experimental and difficult than our previous steel design and took full two days to perfect. The end result, we feel is a bold, elegant piece of furniture that is a little different from the DIY style of pallet furniture that is available today.
